My Little Model

So, this year I've purchased some studio lights. Which, I'm really excited about... yet, I still have soooo much to learn. So, Tate has been willing to model for me and help me out. I couldn't help but post these darling pictures of my little 3-year-old! You can tell how full of it he really is!

The New Year Begins

Wow, 2008 is here! When I was a kid, I was just sure that we'd be able to drive to Hawaii in some underwater tube highway in the 2000's! It seemed so far way, and here it is, 2008. Where has time gone? It's amazing how fast life is going. Anyway, as the new year comes I have so many goals to work on and things to look forward to. For one, Mike and I actually have an anniversary this year. We were married on February 29th, 1996. Our 3rd actual annivesary.... although it has been 12 years. We've toyed with the idea of going to see "Wicked" in Los Angeles, but we'll see what we come up with.

I'm also looking forward to a trip back to Nauvoo with my Grandma Cleo. Her sister, Ina Lee is serving a mission in Liberty, doing tours of the jail. So, all of the Baadsgaard sisters and their children are planning a trip there. I'm so excited to go back to Nauvoo, Liberty, Carthage and Adam-Ondi-Ahman. I went there with my mom and Grandma 6 years ago and I've been dying to get back! I just love the area. It's so beautiful and oh so hot and humid, but oh so worth it!

Well, life is good at the Clayson home. Mike's keeping busy at the credit union and will soon be moving to their Spanish Fork branch when it opens. Payton is loving third grade and is so proud to be "top of his class" in math. Of course, we're so proud too! Tate is doing good in preschool and is so excited to be a Sunbeam now. Brockie is our little athlete, although he's getting stingy about showing off. He can punt already, make hoops and even tackle! Not to mention he's the fastest little runner I've ever seen! I can't catch him. I guess being bow-legged has it's advantages! I can't go on without mentioning his incredible dancing skills too! He's got rhythm, that's for sure. I'm doing the same old.... still working at New Haven. A job I'll never quit. I love it, it's like having a slumber party every week with your best girlfriends! I survived another season of cRaZy picture taking and card designing! I'm starting to think that I'm going to have to hire a crew to help me. This year was nuts! A great year... but a little busy for one person to take on.

I hope you're all doing well! Best wishes to all of you in the New Year!

Then...over to Grandma and Grandpa Dansie's on Christmas Eve

After Grandma's Cleo's dinner, we head over to Grandma and Grandpa Dansie's to open presents with Mason and Parker. Well, it was over in about 3 minutes. The kids were so excited and starting tearing into their gifts!

Christmas Eve at Grandma Cleo's

I know, it's been a week and I'm just getting this post up. It's been crazy around here. Anyway, Christmas Eve at Grandma Cleo's is a tradition that I know all of us grandkids look forward to. We all gathered around to listen to Uncle Doug tell us about Jesus' birth. We got to listen to Jace and Jory on the piano and violin. Singing silent night made it extra special.

Next... we ate a very yummy dinner. Red chicken, veggies, raspberry pretzel salad and of course shrimp dip! That's where you'll find me and Jaime most of the night, gathered around the shrimp dip!

After dinner, the much anticipated gift opening begins. We had fun exchanging gifts from our cousins.
